🌪️ NXR WEEKEND IS HERE! 🌪️
Time to take Yelm to a regional level and show what we’re made of! 💛❤️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Here’s the plan for the weekend:

FRIDAY • Nov 14
🚐 Departure from Yelm Medical Plaza @ 8:00 AM
👟 Course preview + shakeout run
🌯 Dinner at the hotel: Chipotle (yes, the athletes are pumped)
🎯 Laser Tag to kick off the weekend with some team hype & bonding

SATURDAY • RACE DAY!
🔥 Time to put all that training to work
🍕 Post-race hotel dinner: Costco pizza
🏊 Team bonding + pool time (fan favorite every year!)

SUNDAY
☕ Breakfast, pack up, and head home
🚐 Leaving Spokane no later than 9:00 AM

📱 Athletes will text/call when we’re close so parents know what time to plan for pick-up in Yelm.

✨🏁 OFFICIAL SEASON WRAP! 🏁✨

Yesterday marked the end of the official 2025 Cross Country season at the State Meet — and WOW did our athletes make us proud! 💛❤️

🌪️ Boys Varsity Team — 14th in the state!
💪 Girls Individual Qualifiers:
• Kailey Slevin — 37th place
• DeeJay Taylor — 83rd place

These athletes battled tough competition and left everything on the course. Their hard work, grit, and heart showed from the first summer run to the final sprint at State.

To every athlete who ran this season:
We are SO proud of you. You represented Yelm with determination, sportsmanship, and heart. 🔥

👉 Even though the official XC season has wrapped… the training (and the fun) continues!
Those heading to NXR will continue training this week. The team leaves from the Yelm Medical Plaza at 8 AM this Friday,November 14!

🔥 DISTRICTS RECAP — STATE BOUND! 🔥

What an incredible day yesterday at the District Championships — the rain finally stopped just in time for the races, but the wind was absolutely insane. 🌬️💨
Did that stop our athletes? Not a chance. They dug deep, pushed harder, and proved what Yelm toughness looks like.

And now… we’re sending FIVE individual athletes AND our Boys Varsity team to STATE! 🤯🙌

✨ Girls State Qualifiers:
🥇 Kailey Slevin — 5th place finish!
🌟 DeeJay Taylor — 28th place finish!

💥 Boys State Qualifiers (individual):
🏅 Patrick Walsh — 11th place
🏅 Marcos Andujar — 12th place
🏅 Peter Robbins — 19th place

🚨 AND… the Boys Varsity Team advanced to STATE with a strong 6th place team finish!

These athletes have put in the miles — early mornings, late practices, and every type of weather. Yesterday proved their grit and determination more than ever. We are so proud of every runner who competed — advancing or not. You showed heart, hustle, and Tornado pride. ❤️💛

For some athletes, the official racing season has wrapped — but the training doesn’t stop here. Champions are built in the off-season, and we have BIG things ahead. 💪🔥
