Around 1pm on Monday 4/14/25 Worcester Fire along with Auburn who we covering the city due to a 3rd alarm fire on the south side of the city were dispatched to a reported fire on Harlow St. Engine 11 arrived to find smoke showing from the front of the house. Crews worked diligently to bring the fire under control in under 40 minutes. The fire ultimately went 2 alarms and companies remained on scene overhauling for a couple hours.

On Monday 12/9/2024 just after 0840 in the morning Westborough Fire was dispatched to 293 Turnpike Rd “Arrive Apartments” for the Central Station Alarm. Engine 4 was first on scene and reported nothing showing. Once crews made entry to the building they were met my building maintenance reporting smoke on the 7th floor with a sprinkler activation. Once this was confirm Car 3 manned by Captain Busha requested the working fire assignment brining Southborough and Northborough to the scene. Crews were able to enter the apartment where the fire was and determined that the fire had been knocked down by the sprinkler system in the apartment. Crews remained in scene for several hours overhauling and cleaning up. Fire damage was limited to the fire apartment but the building did sustain extensive water damage. FIU was able to determine that fire was electrical in nature.

As many of you know for the past several years I’ve been doing Fire photography as a hobby with the hopes of someday getting on a department. Well late las year I got the opportunity to join the Boylston Fire Department as a call member. Last week I got the chance to train at a live burn in West Boylston with several surrounding communities. I super thankful for the chance and cannot wait to see what the future holds for me.. And I must say being on the other side of the lens feels really weird haha
