Lake Afton, Chisholm Ridge Ponds in Clearwater AND Colwich City Lake are all under a Blue-Green algae warning. This means there is a harmful algal bloom present making it unsafe to go in the water.

Here’s what you need to know:
- Avoid all contact with water.
- Lake water is not safe for humans OR animals.
- Signage should be posted at all public access locations.
- Do not let pets eat dried algae or drink contaminated water.
- Clean any fish you catch with potable water and only eat the fillet portion.
- If you come into contact with the contaminated water, make sure you rinse off with soap and clean water immediately.
