Wichita Forever Festival is a free, citywide music festival celebrating the artists, venues, and communities that make Wichita’s music scene special. On Saturday, August 22, nearly 100 bands and artists will take over 10 venues across the city for a weekend of live music, art, connection, and discovery.

From indie rock and hip-hop to punk, EDM, folk, and everything in between, Wichita Forever is built around one idea: local music deserves to be heard, supported, and celebrated year-round.

This is not a single-site festival. It’s a decentralized network of venues, DIY spaces, artists, and local businesses working together to turn Wichita into a living, breathing music festival for one weekend. All shows are free and open to the public, and every artist is guaranteed payment.

Tribal Roots is honored to be a participant in this event and will be bringing a miniature festival experience to downtown Wichita. With the customized double-decker Beat Bus art car experience, this open-air event will feature vibrant projection mapping, a roaring Element5 sound system, fire performances, local DJs spinning from The Upper Deck, and an easily accessible bar on the lower level.

Tribal Roots, The Upper Deck, Downtown Wichita, and the Kansas Skateboarding Foundation are teaming up to throw our very first show under the Kellogg Bridge for First Friday in August!

We’re bringing the full Beat Bus experience with projection mapping, a massive Element 5 sound system, some of Wichita’s best DJs, food trucks, fire spinning, and an epic Best Trick Contest hosted by the Kansas Skateboard Foundation.

This is a FREE, all-ages event, so bring the whole family and come experience something completely different. If you’ve been to a Tribal Roots event before, you already know we don’t do things halfway. If you haven’t, this is the perfect chance to see what all the hype is about.
