Painting a room? Here's a do-it-yourself tip that will help you get it done ASAP. If you are painting trim or baseboards, do those first and let dry.
-Tape off all window, door and baseboard trim.
-If you don't have popcorn texture on the ceiling you can tape that off too.
-Make sure your tape is straight and pressed firmly on the surface to avoid
paint leaking and causing a jagged line.
-Remove plate covers for all outlets and light switches.
-Paint edges first, around outlets and switches, and narrow areas with a brush
This provides a barrier gap so you don't accidentally paint an unintended
area when you use your roller.
-Use a roller to finish
(Pics are to show taping and "cutting in" edges before rolling)
