Heartspring revealed plans for a four-story Center for Pediatric Neurodevelopment to be located near the downtown Wichita Biomedical Campus with collaborations expected with the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita and Wichita State University.

The need for specialized, integrated care for children with neurodevelopmental disorders is clear: Kansas has seen a more than 300% increase in autism diagnoses since 2005, according to Dan Soliday, president and CEO of Heartspring.

"We really need to build a new pathway forward for pediatric development," Soliday said.
