Installing PPF on this honeycomb carbon fiber tank cover is the kind of work that really separates high level installers from amateurs. Every stretch has to be controlled perfectly or the film fights you the entire way and it will fail in a week.

Just finished laying the top piece. Letting it dry overnight before we come back to trim it and finish the side sections tomorrow.

Parts like this will absolutely expose your skill level.

Customer got side swiped this weekend.
Panels took a hit, the PPF got chewed up

Most people would assume this means:
👉 Repaint the panels
👉 Blend into adjacent panels
👉 Hope the color matches

But here’s what actually happened…

We removed the film, and the paint underneath was PERFECT.

No damage. No repaint. Nothing.

So here’s the debate:

Would you rather:

A) Repaint your vehicle and risk mismatched paint, reduced value, and future issues

B) Peel off damaged film and keep 100% original factory paint
