I was blessed to be able to spend time in the shop today.
I am super excited to see how this steel turns out!
Hi everybody! All is well, just wanted to let you guys know why you have not seen very much from me lately.
A few of the activities that I am now juggling between:
Work
Wife
4 Kids
Knife making
Hunting
Fishing
Gym
Triathlon training
-running
-biking
-swimming
Golfing
Coaching kids baseball
Kids basketball
Kids volleyball
Kids soccer
Etc…
Life is real busy to say the least… and I do try and sleep some now too - whereas I didn’t used to do much of that before.
Anyways….
I love you all - and I just wanted to let you know that life is real good, just real busy.

I have made this design a few times in the past but I realized that I never gave it a name. I have decided to name it the Cougar.
It is a beauty of a drop point blade profile, and will excel as a companion for most hunters and outdoorsman.
It measures 8 1/2” overall length with a 3 3/4” cutting edge.
This particular one is ProCut steel, acid etched and stonewashed. With a sambar stag handle, and peened brass pins.

Felt like swinging a hammer today… so I forged these out, and I had a lot of fun while doing so!
I have not made a blacksmiths knife for several years, so this was a fun challenge doing something a little different than normal.
