One more image.

A long time ago, I made a simple art piece known as Clockstoppers, this is a rather new take on that using far better technology and hardware than I had back then, as there is a lot more detail as well as the feeling of motion as the clock shatters. Instead of a random spike doing it though, it is a pointed hammer.

Now I do not know about you, but I can't help but get the feeling that very little in this world is what it seems anymore, everything has turned upside down and it even seems at times like time itself is broken. I yearn for the return of the days when life can again be seen as normal, but to actually have a normal requires the return of an equilibrium where the rate of change slows down enough to have confidence that things will remain familiar some years later, yet the change rate, going at lightning speed now, is simply not giving much of a possibility of that happening. Where is normal, have you seen him, as he has been missing for a while.

The pressure to adapt seems too much and I am sometimes inclined to think that the solution is to turn around and go back to the world of Yesterday and stay there, not caring at all if everyone else moves ahead without me as things continue to feel more obtuse and complicated due to things like security and fixing things that are not broken. Do you remember for instance where you could just push the on button on the TV and the show was there (as opposed to waiting for the thing to boot up, then hunting down apps. and a bunch of other steps before actually arriving at the show)? Yes, it may eventually be that I will look like I belong in some museum exhibit, but I will not be in a cycle of continually relearning what I thought I knew before.

At least for the work I do things have not gotten too ridiculous yet, as you will see with this one. Say hello to Clocked Stopped Blocked.

Happy Easter, He Is Risen.

Since it was a nice day today, I have noticed families doing their activities outside. We did so as well, but all the while being careful to not let the commercialization and focus on bunnies to distract us from the true message in the same vein as keeping snowmen and Santa out of the meaning of Christmas.

For some time, I have had an idea for an image to honor this sacred day of victory over death, but I have unfortunately never gotten around to it, and now it won't come again till next year.

Now when it comes to new stuff for shows however, I do have the option to search out a bunch of old space-themed images if the ongoing Moon mission winds up making that kind of thing something that people will look for, at least produce them in coaster form first to see how they do, and maybe begin to place more focus on matted images if it really looks like people are again looking at larger items (the coasters are small, but they have really done their job carrying sales during a time when craft buyers began to focus more on lower-cost items).

Now I do have a new image that is almost done and will be posted soon, maybe at some point I will strike lightning in a bottle and I will become preoccupied much of the day because of sales that have to be filled, that would be a good problem to have in my view so do not hesitate outside of making things easy for me.

As Spring comes, so does the shows, I will likely be doing Art at the Amphitheater again this year and since it looks like doing the May show could work if I wanted to do so, I will consider that, but likely beginning next week. Hopefully this year will not see the show consistently (and unfortunately) landing on the hottest day of the week like we saw last year (despite last year's cooler Summer) and lead to more people coming in as a result.

Hello again, I hope you have a good and happy Easter tomorrow.

Now, I discovered that because of new concepts coming into my work related to color, I now have one more thing to be reminded of to make sure that in the end, the image is saved properly and with the correct tones. I forgot to select the right option for the image posted last month, so I noticed the colors actually wound up desaturated and skewed. It might not seem like a big deal, but even basic concepts have become notably more complex if realism is what you are going for.

So, I re-rendered the image to make sure I do it right and keep to the quality I want to have, so here is Escalation Heavenbound again in the vibrant coloring that it was supposed to have in the first place. Compare and Enjoy.

Hello, going on many years without one viral post to really drive sales, I do not know if I will ever have that lightning bolt strike in the bottle, but who knows.

The next image is another one of those takes on a very early idea, one with escalators going up and up and up some more. As far as you know they will carry you all the way up to heaven, and who would blame anyone wanting to discover such a journey these days, considering how real it seems to just want to go to that perfect place where my grandparents for one thing are having the time of their lives with no worries and no concern for the future. In addition, if my beagle Milo happens to be up there as well, that would be a major bonus, but it is not my decision to set that time even though I wish I could.

That means that as long as I am able to (that being, my hardware does not die or the tools I use do not get replaced by the newfangled magic generators, or the software I use does not become broken beyond the ability to use), I will continue with new work. For now, though, enjoy this new image as Spring starts up and begins to melt away the doldrums of Winter.

I could potentially write an entire A to Z volume set as to why such imagery would seem more real to me than before, but that is not the purpose of this page.
