11/17/24 : Buck # 131 : PART 2 :
…running across the open meadow, he slows down by the timber. I call at him and he slows down interested in what spooked him to start with. Going away exposes that big boxy frame and thick tines. This is a magnificent Kansas buck…maybe I can get him to look back…

…he moved out of the tree line and back into a little creek draw, I knew where he has heading, so walked 50 yards due north to intercept. He stepped out of the bottoms and crossed the road, meeting him at 30 feet, he paused. We nodded at each other and he continued on, no throwing of a flag, no snort, just a silent passing by this morning. Man it was cool.
