1. The Fallibility of Human Testimony. Intentional or unintentional, inaccuracies in personal accounts are commonplace. My experience in law enforcement has consistently demonstrated that the individual presenting the most compelling narrative often prevails.

2. The Objectivity of Camera Footage. Cameras provide an unbiased, firsthand account of events. In the aftermath of an accident, one's memory may be clouded by information overload. The sudden adrenaline surge can impair cognitive function, leading to inaccuracies in perception and recollection.

Note: The phenomenon of participants in shootouts, despite being in close proximity, frequently missing their targets can be attributed to the physiological effects of adrenaline, including the dilation of pupils, which can distort spatial awareness and fine motor skills. Again, what you believe you saw may or may not be accurate.

3. The Limitations of Police Investigations. Unless an accident is investigated by a certified crash investigator, the analysis may be speculative. Police reports are often based on witness statements and a cursory examination of the scene, which may not accurately reflect the circumstances surrounding the accident.

4. The Consequences of Inaccurate Accident Reporting. Any accident recorded on your driving record can significantly impact your and your company's CSA score. The investigating officer's report carries substantial weight, making it essential to have factual evidence to contradict any inaccuracies.

PART 2 MEMPHIS FATAL CRASH

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people are dead after a semi-truck crashed into the end of an overpass and caught fire along the interstate near North Watkins Street early Wednesday morning.

Initial reports blamed the crash on the semi truck driver citing he failed to maintain control.

But witnesses are statinh that two Mustangs had been racing before the semi driver crashed. She said they were well over 100 mph when they swerved into traffic ahead of the semi truck.

She said both her and her pasenger began to scream as events unfolded. I thought I was going to witness a crash of total carnage and so many deaths. There was no way for that truck to stop.

Witnesses say at the last minute the tractor trailer driver made a decision. Instead of crashing through stopped cars he turned into the bridge wall, sacrificing himself and the second driver.

We could not get them out she said. It burst into flames when it hit the wall. The fire was so hot.

She says she will never forget that night. I’ve read and hear stories about people who have given the ultimate sacrifice. I didnt know it would be in the form of a truck driver giving his life to save total strangers.

This was nearly a negative story about truck drivers until witnesses came forward stating the 'Police are totally wrong!'
