Tribe 13 is on the verge of a creative explosion, soon diving into new music and dedicating time in the studio to complete Look Above and record two additional tracks. We are eagerly anticipating the new music and can't wait to share it with you at your next event!

Hello friends of Tribe13. First I want to thank everyone who came out to see us this morning at SoberFest.

For those who stuck it out past the PA issues, thank you, I’m glad we got they got the issues resolved and you got to hear a great second set!

For those who came out to hear us for the first time, the first set is not at all indicative of who we are. There were many issues beoynd our control including the very late start. I hope to dee you all again sometime.
Like the lyrics to one of our song- Praise Jesus name, through the trials and the pain, though I wouldn’t choose it, I know He can use it the good with the bad all the same!

Tribe13 — What’s in a Name?

The number 13 often carries a reputation for misfortune. Some call it unlucky, rebellious—even cursed. In certain biblical interpretations, it’s associated with apostasy and defiance.

So why would a Christian band choose to carry 13 in its name?

Because redemption rewrites the narrative.

In Hebrew, the number 13 symbolizes deep spiritual truths. It is the numerical value of Ahavah (love) and Echad (oneness). It also relates to HaShem—a reverent name for God, meaning “The Name,” pointing to the foundational truth that God is One. No other gods. No other source of life, love, or identity.

But for us, the meaning of Tribe13 goes even deeper.

Our name is rooted in Romans 11:13–17, especially verse 17 (KJV):

“And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree...”
(Romans 11:17, KJV)

We see ourselves as that "wild olive tree"—grafted into God’s covenant family not by natural descent, but by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We are not one of the original twelve tribes of Israel, but as Gentile believers, we are like a 13th tribe—adopted sons and daughters, not defined by bloodline, but by faith, love, unity, and the shared in only by the redeeming blood of Christ.

Our music is wild—but our message is grounded in sound biblical truth.
We bring passion, grit, and intensity to our sound—but never compromise the gospel in our lyrics.

Tribe13 is both our identity and our mission:
To declare that there is no other God.
To stand as one—firm in the eternal promise of salvation through Jesus alone.
To proclaim that Gospel truth through our music.
And to live as those who have been grafted into something eternal and to show others how to join the family tree of Christ.
