We were honored to host a special visitor at the DuPage Correctional Center today! Mr. Patrick Jones for Will County Sheriff spent time touring our campus to see the JUST of DuPage programs firsthand. We love sharing how our educational, vocational, and mental health programs help individuals build a better future before returning home to our communities. 🌱 Hope’s Garden Gets a Fresh Boost! 🌱

Hope’s Garden received some much-needed “Nourish the Roots, Protect the Shoots” support thanks to Landscape Material & Firewood Sales, Inc., which generously donated 16 yards of fresh, natural-color double-ground mulch.

We were also delighted to have Ryan on hand to personally deliver the product!

There is nothing quite like getting your hands dirty and planting the promise of summer. Today, we got our tomatoes and peppers into the ground! Now comes the best part: watching them soak up the sun, watering them with love, and waiting for that first homegrown harvest. ☀️🥗

A huge thank you to Cantigny for the generous donation of 75 tomato plants and 75 pepper plants in a variety of selections.

We were also grateful to have Greenhouse Manager Bob Carr on hand to personally deliver them to us.

We truly appreciate the continued support and dedication from Sheriff James Mendrick, DuPage County Sheriff's Office and College of DuPage.

As a great man once said, “It takes a village.” We are fortunate to have that village behind us as we look forward to a positive gardening season and giving back to our local food pantries.

Another day in the garden! We'd like to shout out our wonderful partner, Winding Creek Nursery Inc., for their generous donation to the garden program! Donations like these make a huge difference in helping our program be able to give back to our local communities by donating all of the produce we grow.
