This is a hard truth about weight loss ⬇️
95% of people who go on a diet either fail to lose weight, or fail to keep it off.
Those numbers are bleak, but that doesn't mean we throw in the towel on attempting to reach a healthier weight.
It means we need a different strategy. Obviously, the way we've been taught to diet just doesn't work.
Why do diets fail?
1️⃣ They're overly restrictive, and you just can't stick with it for the long term. If you love pasta, then you're only going to be able to stick with a keto diet for so long before you decide you just don't love your life without carbs.
2️⃣ Typical diets slow down your metabolism, making is nearly impossible to maintain your weight loss. This is called metabolic adaptation! The faster you lose weight, the bigger the impact on your metabolism!
3️⃣ Your diet didn't help you change your habits and lifestyle, or fix your relationship with food.
4️⃣ You're trying to follow a cookie cutter plan instead of figuring out what works for YOUR life and YOUR body.
