Truth 💣‼️ the DIYs and Interior Designer 🧑🎨 rooms are 🥸 fake.
POV: you get the spins 🌀 on , , , from all the things you want to do, have, wear, say—how you want your body, life, home to look—and you look around👀 your home and what do you see…how do you feel…
They are selling you a fairy tale 🧚 As long and you know this is not the real story, but do you?
What’s actually happening: They’re a) staged and don’t really look like that in real life and b) are a LOT harder to achieve then they look.
Me: I would love to have my bedroom 🛏️ bathroom 🚽 kitchen👩🍳 living room 🛋️ Yard exterior 🏡 look that good 🙏 I’m not even talking about ALL of the time. Just every once in awhile. Like, the first weekend of every month. That would be pump me up enoug to deal with reality and look forward to the next month.
I really wish I had a 🧞 in a bottle tucked away in my kitchen cupboard —but I have so little space in my kitchen as it is that 🧞♀️genie would probably be sitting on the counter with everything else I don’t have space for…
Facts: it takes time ⏰ , energy 🙇♀️, money 💰, space, motivation, money 💰, time, money, time, money, time, and more money to make those things happen in your own home.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but my solution is to find the little things in my home —small changes—that I can do that bring me joy. I call these “moments” —->when I worked for Martha Stewart this is what she taught me—pay attention to the small gestures, set the table, match the drinkware🥛 iron the sheets (or in my case
change the sheets regularly 🕵️♀️ apologies to Martha.
See what little things you can do to change the the way you experience your 🏠 home and then tell me about it in the comments. ⤵️
