An interesting challenge for me as I prepare for a magic show at River Hills School in Cedar Falls -- how do you put on a fun and engaging show for students with various developmental and intellectual disabilities?

The answer I came up with was to dip back into my clowning days: a fully-choreographed show to music! Two shows today, wish me luck!

Hi friends,

This page has been pretty quiet because it's been a whirlwind couple of years. While things aren't totally settled yet, I feel like I'm in a pretty good place right now to say hey and that hopefully by this summer I should be available for gigs and performances.

If you want to help welcome me to Northeast Iowa and the Cedar Valley, I won't say no! I'm available for hire as a musician: I'm a singer-songwriter, cover artist, and am open to jumping into different bands that need someone to fill in; I'm a magician, primarily close-up and parlor shows, but would love to do more strolling magic and private events like weddings or dinner parties; and I'm available for acting/emcee gigs (people think I'm pretty funny).

I'll also welcome tips and leads on any open mics in the area! Having a kid means I don't get out much, but if something's happening I'll do my best to be there.

My goal this year is to have a legitimate website. Help me make this a possibility by keeping me reasonably busy.

I spent the day driving around Waterloo-Cedar Falls hanging up fliers in bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and libraries. If you see one, I would *love* if you snapped a picture and posted it in the comments below.
