The interview was filmed inside a metal barn, with Trump and Welker seated next to a tractor, repeatedly interrupted by heavy rainfall. Tensions escalated when Welker pressed Trump on his blocked "anti-weaponization" fund and his repeated claims that U.S. elections are rigged. When asked for evidence, Trump shot back: "All I have to do is look."

As Trump moved to leave, Welker desperately tried to salvage the interview, reminding him that NBC had traveled all the way to Wisconsin for the sit-down. Trump was unmoved. "I sat in the rain with you for an hour. I've given you enough time," he told her. "Let's call it quits because I've had enough. Thank you, darling. Have a good time." He then walked off the set.
Despite the dramatic walkout, Welker managed to cover several other topics before the blow-up, including Trump's Iran policy and gas prices, during which the president made several disputed claims.
The incident has reignited debate over Trump's relationship with mainstream American media and his ongoing refusal to accept established election results.
