It's ok to say "today sucked" What's important is we try again tomorrow. Some BCBAs will say interventions need to always be perfect to work. While that is ideal, we live in real life. Mistakes will happen, people won't be their best selves, and tomorrow will come and we can do better.

Talk to your kids and tell them not to watch the video of Charlie Kirk being shot.
Their friends will try to show them over the next few days. They can't unsee it.

Tell them
1. If a friend says "Look at this video" ask what it is before looking
2. Avoiding clicking on any videos about him on social media right now- especially with headlines that suggest shocking content
3. If they do see it, let them know they aren't in trouble and can talk to you (tell them that in advance)
