Gateway Open Studio Tours is this Saturday from 12-5pm! Swing by to check out what all the studio artists are working on. You can find .studios on the third floor, studio 3C! Great day to see so many spaces through out the Gateway Arts District!

So starting this week, I will be slowly remastering my comic strip “Aya Saves Christmas”. If you didn’t get to see the story when I published it on Instagram a few years ago, this is the story of a young lady who finds her own bravery and saves her friends on an epic, adventurous journey into the magical Great White North. I will be re-drawing panels, re-editing, and adding an entire new chapter. Really looking to have the best version completed for publication and sale by the fall. This morning, I was talking about character model sheets, so here are some from this project. 1. Experimenting with some extreme reaction head shots. 2. A very nice full body shot in which I can really see that I based this character on my youngest daughter. 3. Some more head shots where I’m experimenting on rendering her hair.

Thursday class at Montgomery College-Takoma Park! Many letters were twisted and turned in the making of these canvases but nobody got hurt. I had a lotta fun with the whole crew…

At the Germantown campus of Montgomery College teaching about Graffiti Art culture, a little letter stylisms, and a group cooperative production on giant canvas the school is planning to hang… old fish guy from SpongeBob:”I love the young people…”

This seems flippant but it’s applicable to many things in life (especially Super Bowl halftime shows)…
