✈️ Last week, NASAO President & CEO Greg Pecoraro testified before the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s Aviation Subcommittee on connecting rural communities to the national airspace system.

In his opening statement, Pecoraro underscored the need for a strategic approach to improving air service for small and rural communities:

“The challenges facing small community air service are bigger than any one federal program. The nation needs a coordinated strategy. Small and rural communities face long-standing pressures: aging infrastructure, airline economics, security requirements, limited workforce, and the shrinking availability of appropriately sized aircraft. Unless these are addressed together, communities will continue to lose service.”
