On Monday, The Washington Post was awarded two Pulitzer Prizes for its journalism in 2024.

Representing the team was staff photographer Jabin Botsford, who was recognized for his coverage of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

“We all just reacted,” Botsford said. “I went forward. If this massively historic moment — maybe the most historic moment I will ever witness — is going to happen 10 feet in front of me, I’m going to get a good picture of it.”
