Well, the seaweed monster got me big time, but overall a new PR for the course by a few minutes. Two weeks until the oly 😬

Welp, you know what time it is. Time for that good ole dog water 😅 CHS Sprint Tri race two kicks off in an hour.

It’s been a messy week so far, but damn if this run didn’t make things feel right again. Btw, if you own your place, buy a whole house surge protector 🤦‍♀️

Anyways, I know most people complain about running, but if you want to clear your head, it’s the best sauce for the job.

I don’t usually do , but for the past week I’ve been carving, burning, and turning a board into my own custom medal hanger. The lines are lumpy, one straight cut that goes halfway through the board, and burning marks in odd spots, but honestly not terrible for my first go at this. Still plenty of other spots for more hooks and medals, too.

Today’s OWS is brought to you by Campbell’s, because we were swimming in soup! Can’t tell you how much I appreciate that this group, especially Cynch, is out here every Monday.

My biggest anxiety tied to Augusta is the swim, and by jamming as much OWS practice in I should get my head on straight. Let’s ignore the fact that I swim slow as molasses, soup or not 😅

When you have double activity days, might as well turn one into a commute, sort of. Except there is also a heatwave and I’m soaked 🤦‍♀️

Not like I was going to get to Folly by car on a day like this. Weather was perfect for a long ride 🌞

Tri training is back in full swing, and so is the Charleston heat. That means lots of early mornings ahead.

During running season I heavily rely on music/earbuds to pump some artificial hype right into my head, but unfortunately you can’t use them during triathlons. More than that though, it helps drown out that internal voice telling me to walk or slow down, and without it, things are a bit more of a struggle. Weaning off of this will probably be in the top 3 hardest parts of 70.3 training. Fortunately I have some of the best views around to distract me, but just a little.
