Investors Call For Transparency on China Supply-Chain Risks 06/16/2026

Companies doing business in China should disclose supply-chain risks associated with a potential abrupt break in U.S.-China relations, we argued this week in a petition to the SEC:

"U.S. companies have become inextricably entangled and reliant on Communist China, particularly with respect to their supply chains.... A total embargo could have significant, if not catastrophic, impacts.... We are asking the Commission to take action as soon as possible to remedy this situation.”

"Transgenderism 'is a divisive political issue,' said Free Enterprise Project Director Steve Milloy, who adheres to the late economist Milton Friedman's view that a company's primary and only social responsibility is to grow its profits and maximize shareholder returns.

"'The bottom line is it's one of those political issues that companies have no business being in,' Milloy said. 'Just sell sporting goods—that's want people want.'"
