✨ Grateful for the Journey ✨

As my grant period with the Library of Congress’ American Folklife Center comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on what an incredible honor it has been to be part of the Of the People: Widening the Path Community Collections grant program.

Through this opportunity, I had the privilege of creating and preserving “African American Ballet in Washington, D.C.: A Legacy in Motion” — a collection that documents and uplifts the stories of Black dancers, educators, and trailblazers who have shaped the cultural landscape of our nation’s capital through ballet.

This experience deepened my commitment to honoring the legacies of underrepresented communities through storytelling. I’m truly thankful to the Library of Congress for supporting this work! More to come — but for now, I’m reflecting with gratitude and pride.
