Round 2 of Make a Circle Film was nothing short of electric! ⚡

Last night at Anne Arundel Community College, GatherRound and Mdaeyc brought together an incredible mix of voices across the early childhood world; professors, high school and college students, preschool and public school educators, child care directors and owners, consultants, resource and referral coordinators, executive leaders, and even candidates stepping into public service. One room. One purpose. So many perspectives.

And honestly? That’s the magic.

This film keeps building bridges across every corner of our field, showing just how powerful it is when we come together for children and families.

And the panel? Absolutely on fire.

Courtney from The Goddard School shared a deeply moving story of her journey in early childhood, the daily challenges, the sacrifices, and the unwavering commitment to doing what’s right for children and community.

Julie from Friends of Sarah's House reminded us of the powerful shift that can happen when educators move beyond direct care roles and continue supporting families through some of their most vulnerable moments, while also lifting up the dignity, expertise, and importance of quality early childhood programs.

And Jana brought it home with a powerful reminder: early childhood educators are the experts. Our voices belong at the front leading, advocating, and shaping the systems that impact children, families, and our profession.
