Foster or Adopter Needed – Poe & Pacino Need a Second Chance

Poe and Pacino are two 5-year-old brothers who thought they had their forever home… until they were recently surrendered back to us through no fault of their own. Now they’re confused, heartbroken, and hoping someone will give them the love they’ve always given so freely 💔

These boys are truly something special.

Poe is one of the sweetest cats you’ll ever meet—super snuggly, constantly purring, and happiest curled up in your lap. He just wants love and affection and will soak up every second of it. He’s also wonderful with kids and babies, making him a perfect family companion.

Pacino is just as loving, with a gentle, easygoing personality. He adores attention, gets along great with other male cats, and is an all-around wonderful companion.

They share a beautiful bond and would love to stay together if possible—but they can absolutely go to separate homes if needed. Whether together or apart, they each have so much love to give 🐾💛

We are urgently looking for a foster or adopter (or foster-to-adopt) who can open their heart and home to one or both of these amazing boys. They deserve stability, comfort, and a family who won’t give up on them again.

Please don’t let Poe and Pacino wait any longer. If you can help—or even share this post—you could change their lives.

It’s been a while since we’ve posted — our tiny but mighty team has been hard at work behind the scenes doing what we love most: helping cats in need. While we’ve stayed busy with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and our adoption program, we’ve admittedly fallen behind on social media and fundraising. But we’re still here, still working, and still committed to every cat we care for.

Unfortunately, one of our long-term fosters, sweet Miss Bobbi, gave us a scare last week and ended up at the ER vet with a rough case of gastritis. Her bill totaled $800, a huge hit for our little rescue.

Between unexpected medical bills, ongoing TNR efforts, and the costs of flea/tick/heartworm prevention and vaccines for our long-term fosters, our funds have taken a serious hit.

If you're able to chip in to help with Bobbi’s bill or support our TNR work, we would be endlessly grateful. Every dollar truly makes a difference. If donating isn’t possible, sharing this post helps more than you know. 🐱✨

We’re a grassroots rescue trying to get back on our feet — with your help, we can keep showing up for the cats who need us most.

📲 on Venmo and on our website: chesapeakerescue.org for more ways to donate.
🙏 Thank you for supporting our mission.

Remember Suzy Snowflake?

She was our organizations FIRST foster cat and FIRST adoption! This is the girl that started it all.

We get an update from her mom every few weeks and we LOVE it… Her name is now Gracie and she is doing wonderfully. She even has a doggie brother that she has gotten used to. Miss Gracie has the luxury of her dad working from home so she gets all the lovin’s all day long! She spends most of her days watching out the window staring at the birds and squirrels that come by… It’s safe to say she’s living a great life.

Have you adopted from us? We’d love to hear from you! Send us an email at [email protected]
