Earthset.

The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon.

The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon. The Apollo 8 mission was the first crewed spacecraft to circumnavigate the Moon.

Yesterday, the Artemis II crew broke records for the farthest distance traveled from Earth—reaching a maximum distance of 252,756 miles from Earth during their journey. At their closest point, the Artemis II crew was within about 4,070 miles from the lunar surface.

NASA’s TEMPO satellite is giving us a new view of air pollution over North America. From geostationary orbit, it collects hourly daytime air quality data with far more detail than past missions, helping scientists track ozone, nitrogen dioxide, smoke, and other pollutants as they change through the day.

We’re not using data connectors just to move data. We’re using them to bring systems together without forcing everything into one place.

Our approach focuses on connecting directly to source systems and making that data usable in real time, instead of copying it around or rebuilding it somewhere else.

That means:

Less duplication, more accuracy
Faster access to live data
Easier integration across different systems
A more complete picture without breaking what already works

At the end of the day, connectors are how we turn scattered systems into something that actually feels connected and usable.
