Yesterday, the program came to an end. As such, we would like to thank many people for giving us the opportunity to make this happen:

MassCEC - for offering this grant and program for students to explore the different aspects of STEM

Tamika Jacques - For helping us get this grant

John Lee - For your assistance in running this program and helping students build the carts

Lisa Collins - For guiding the students in the teacher training workshop

And last, but certainly not least:

Peter Kane - For applying for the grant and running this program. You were the man who found out about the Learn and Earn program and pushed for it to come to Norfolk Aggie. This program surely would not have happened without you.

Once more, we would like to thank all who have helped us throughout this summer, and we cannot wait until we can do this again.

'Til next summer!

One student is working on a light tower to pair with a photovoltaic model from a previous year's project. The light tower will light up differently depending on how much power is being used from the sun.

CART UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Solar thermal team - The solar thermal group finished wiring the electronics and temperature sensor, soldered wires, and cut caps for tubing.

PV team - The photovoltaic team has begun to install the batteries on the carts. Two of the carts are even working in the sun!

Wind turbine - In the wind turbine corner, the first cart is complete and working, and turbines are being wired.

Aside from the carts, we received the bus from BU School of Medicine. Some of the students have cleaned out the inside of the bus, and they have power-washed the exterior today. After the bus is all cleaned, it will be converted from biochemistry education to environmental sustainability education.

Speaking of education, our teaching team is getting closer to the teacher training days! The 15 teachers registered so far have a lot coming for them the first few days of August!
