I am honored to return to Gender on the Ballot to share my New Year’s resolution. Last year, I had the opportunity to write for the blog at a time when closing the gender gap in politics felt both urgent and deeply personal.

That article was not easy to write. I wanted to stay true to myself while acknowledging the emotions many of us felt as DEI and hard won progress came under attack. I thought about the blood, sweat, and tears women have poured into leadership, often while being passed over despite being more than qualified.

I am grateful for the continued opportunity to contribute and to keep this important conversation moving forward with clarity, purpose, and hope.
