Advanced lung cancer care is available at Kaweah Health.

Dr. Trung Ly Tran recently performed our first robotic lung cancer surgery using the da Vinci® Xi surgical system. Through small incisions, this minimally invasive approach can help reduce pain, shorten hospital stays, and support faster recovery for patients with early-stage lung cancer. This surgery is possible when lung cancer is caught early and has not spread.

Early detection plays a critical role in successful treatment. That's why Kaweah Health offers a comprehensive lung cancer program, including low-dose CT lung cancer screening, robotic bronchoscopy for diagnosis, and robotic surgery when needed. “We saw the need in our community for faster lung cancer diagnosis as patients were having to wait months to be seen in other communities,” said Jag Batth, chief operating officer. “Having Dr. Tran and the ability to do this complex procedure is life saving for our community.”
