Colonial Place is one of those neighbourhoods where I find myself daydreaming a move there every time I visit. I think we’ve had friends live on nearly every street. The front porches, the eclectic architecture, the comradery…it’s so charming! We made an offer on a tiny bungalow on New York Ave. a thousand years ago during the housing craziness of 2005, but sadly it wasn’t accepted. It all worked out though and we found the perfect sun-filled home in Belvedere, where we lived for 7 years before we made the move to VB. Alas, our neighborhood is not as charming but I greatly appreciate our garage, proximity to E-mart, and the lady down the street that hands out full size candy bars on Halloween. Anyhoo! As a reminder, on Sunday, Oct. 1, I’ll be at my pals Suzy and Aaron’s house on New Jersey Avenue sharing and selling some stuff including prints of the design you see here. She says she *might* make hot cider, so feel free to provide her some encouragement if that sounds enticing. She’ll definitely be decorating with enough pumpkins on her steps to fill a pumpkin patch so stop by and bask in the autumnal vibes 🎃
