What a great way to start our morning in Columbus, Ohio! ☀️
We had the opportunity to hear LSU Head Coach Jay Johnson share powerful insight and motivation as he kicked off one of our favorite conferences.

PPD looks forward to bringing the wealth of knowledge we gain each year back to our current and future athletes and their families. ⚾️📈

It’s not often Coach David gets time like this with the younger athletes himself, but this 7-year-old instantly grabbed his attention with her skill, athleticism, and coachability! 💪🏽🔥

She’s already showing signs of being a future beast, and we’re excited to keep developing her game! Grateful for the opportunity to work with such a special talent! 🙌🏽 💫

If you have a younger athlete ready to level up, don’t hesitate to reach out! We have a team of highly skilled trainers with both the resume and the heart, to focus on true, intentional development for your athlete.

Devotional Day 4 of Baseball & the Bible: World Series Edition

Faith Over Fear 🙏🏽 ⚾️

Middle relievers may be the most underappreciated players in baseball—but often the most impactful. Jeremy Affeldt knew that well. In Game 4 of the 2012 World Series, with the score tied and pressure high, he stepped onto the mound with a simple reminder inked on his arm: Solus Christus — Christ Alone.

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” — John 14:6

Solus Christus is rooted in scripture:
• Acts 4:12 — “There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
• 1 Timothy 2:5 — “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.”
• John 3:36 — “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life.”

“Solus Christus sums up everything for me… What drives me to be who I am? The answer is Christ.” — Jeremy Affeldt

Affeldt struck out three of Detroit’s top hitters, kept the game tied, and helped the Giants clinch the title. But his mindset went beyond the mound:

“I can’t control what happens after I throw a baseball… Ultimately as a believer in Jesus Christ, I believe God has my destiny in His hands.”

That day, his tattoo wasn’t just ink. It was his identity and a way of life.
