Have you ever wondered which seat on a fire engine is the best one? Our engine drivers say that sitting behind the wheel is the best job in the fire service. The April VVFD Suppression Drill focused on challenging “Driver-Pump Operator” (DPO) scenarios, which was a lot of fun for our drivers and their colleagues at our partner VFDs (, , and ). They practiced low-pressure water supply, flowing deck guns, setting up portable master streams, and drafting scenarios. All in all, our drivers and firefighters put in a great night of hard work.
