Sometimes, a smile, an ear and a hug are the simple things needed to make someone's day.
I dance every Sunday. Last Sunday, I watched a 65 year old woman practicing hand stands and walk overs. She said that she hadn't done them since she was 18. She also said that dance and yoga have made her spine more limber now than it was at 25. I am experiencing the same results. Get out there and learn a new sport or a new dance! Your body will thank you!
All of the things that I used to post on Bzesty, I now do for clients. Here is what I have learned from working for busy people: #1. Do it now, don't do it after work. (Hint: you wont do it later.) #2. Make more than you need! Leftovers are the best way to eat healthy at home. (Use glass containers that can be nuked and store foods in single servings.) #3. Smaller households should never shop at Costco, bulk food means bulk waste. #4. The more junk you have, the more work it creates. Get rid of things that you don't need. Try the one in, one out rule. If you buy a new mug, toss an old mug, etc. The tidiest, calmest households have the least stuff.
I'm neither Greek nor a grandma, but I channeled my inner Greek Grandma for four hours of cooking for family on Saturday morning. I sometimes forget how much I love cooking for my people. However, I can't imagine how I would have possibly photographed the two hour task of making moussaka. That dish is about as tricky as riding a show pony in heels while trying to shoot at targets!
