We are seeking a candidate with an interest civil litigation to join our Legal Operations department.

Position Summary: The Legal Administrator (Affiant) reviews and signs affidavits in compliance with the company’s Affidavit Review and Notary Policy. In addition to base salary, employees participate in a departmental incentive plan that pays out monthly.

Essential Duties:
• Thoroughly reads and reviews affidavits for accuracy.
• Compares information contained in the affidavit to information listed in Cavalry Collection System (CCS).
• Checks that the account is in an open status.
• Reviews imaged documents to ensure the information listed on the account and affidavit match the account.
• Reviews all account notes to verify that the account is not in a bankruptcy or dispute status, that the customer does not have an attorney representing them and that there are no compliance issues.
• Approves or rejects the affidavit based on review of the account.
• Signs the affidavit in the presence of a Notary.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements and company compliance policies and procedures.
• Behaves in a manner that is consistent with professional standards and the core values of the company.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned by Affidavit Process Manager.

Skills/Qualifications:
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Competence with Windows based software.
• Excellent reading comprehension.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED with applicable experience.
