For many children and families, needles are one of the most stressful parts of health care. Dr. Manju Dawkins, board-certified dermatologist, CEO and co-founder of Thimble, is dedicated to helping patients overcome needle fear and reduce the pain and anxiety that often accompany injections, blood draws, and other procedures. In this session, she will discuss why needle fear develops, how it impacts patients and families, and practical strategies that can make these experiences more manageable and less distressing.
