We are deeply saddened by the passing of former Eugene-Springfield NAACP President Ibrahim Coulibaly, a powerful community impactor and steadfast advocate for civil and human rights in our community.

Ibrahim’s leadership, courage, and unwavering commitment to justice helped shape our branch and strengthened community across Eugene and Springfield.

His work with the NAACP, the City of Eugene Human Rights Commission, and broader movements for equity and dignity leaves a legacy that will continue to inspire us.

We extend our love and condolences to his children, his family, friends, and all who were touched by his vision and his voice.

May we honor him by continuing the work he dedicated his life to;fighting for justice, equity, and community.
