Dear Friends,

Today we honor and remember the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of those who have served to protect our nation. Thank you to Papa John, Uncle Matt, Thomas Horrocks, Destiny Wells, and all veterans for your commitment to preserving our freedom and security.

Regarding last week's election, I know emotions are still raw, and we all need a break. But I can't let this moment pass without saying thank you. Your support, energy, and commitment are everything to me. Together, we have built something meaningful and powerful. I am honored to be in this with you and humbled to have the opportunity to serve another term in the Indiana Senate.

Thank you for believing in our shared vision for a better future. The work ahead will not be easy, but it is essential. Together, we are strong, and together, we will never stop striving for the future Hoosier families and communities deserve.

As a mom, my instinct is to tell you "everything is going to be okay." But I know for many, this isn't a certainty. It's a sentiment that reflects privilege, and not everyone has that comfort.

What I can say with confidence is this: We are at a crossroads where we can either retreat or recharge. I choose to recharge, and I will continue to listen, lead, and work harder than ever as we move forward together.

With the holidays on the horizon, please take care of yourself. Take care of others. Rest when you need, and prepare for the work that lies ahead. One thing we know is that change is inevitable. I promise you I'll continue to work like hell, inside and outside of the Statehouse, to make sure it's for the better.
