LuLu & the Pink Dolphin

At the edge of the tide where the sea oats sway,
LuLu’s Cottage basks in sunshine most every day.
Mini Cooper parked, porch tea in hand,
Queen of the knick-knacks and Saint George sand.

Now and then, from cotton-candy foam,
A pink little dolphin swims up from home.
Not gray, not blue, but blush and bright,
Like sunset lipstick at golden-hour light.

He winks at LuLu with a splash and a spin,
“Island tea, ma’am? Mind if I join you in?”
She laughs so loud the crabs all stop,
“Only if you promise no porch-side flop!”

They click their heels (as dolphins do),
Twirl on the porch under twilight blue.
He squeaks, “This cottage is pure delight!”
She smiles, “Every knick-knack tells a story each night.”

So now at dusk, when the Gulf turns dark,
You might glimpse a pink fin… or hear a laugh spark.
Is it magic?
Island tea talks?
