Healing doesn't only happen in an exam room. 🌿

This Wellness Wednesday, we're celebrating National Therapeutic Recreation Week—a reminder that art, music, movement, gardening, time with animals, and simply being outdoors are real medicine for the body, mind, and spirit.

Therapeutic recreation is more than fun (though it's certainly that). It's a purposeful, evidence-informed way to reduce stress, lift mood, rebuild strength, and reconnect people with their communities. It meets people where they are and helps them thrive—exactly the kind of whole-person, radically inclusive care we believe in.

We're especially grateful for neighbors right here in Walton County who live this every day. At Westonwood Ranch in Freeport, teens and young adults with autism and developmental differences build life skills and confidence through equine therapy, animal care, art, and hands-on time on the farm—care built around the whole person.

This week, we hope you'll find your own small dose of therapeutic recreation: take a walk on the beach, put on your favorite song, pick up a paintbrush, or spend a few quiet minutes with a furry friend. Your well-being is worth it. Because our care includes you. ❤️
