While the 4th of July can be a fun time of celebration, we also recognize that fireworks, large crowds, and loud noises can be overwhelming for many autistic individuals and those with sensory sensitivities.

We encourage families to celebrate in ways that feel comfortable and enjoyable for them—whether that's attending community events, watching fireworks from a distance, using noise-reducing headphones, or creating your own sensory-friendly traditions at home.

There is no "right" way to celebrate. What matters most is spending time with the people who matter to you.

Join Central Oregon Autism Movement for our Sensory-Friendly Swim Event on Saturday, July 12th from 3:30–5:30 PM at Cascade Swim Center in Redmond!

This free event is designed to provide a welcoming, supportive, and fun environment for autism families and individuals to enjoy the pool together.

RSVP is required and space is limited. We encourage families to register early, as this event often fills quickly.
