𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐡𝐮𝐠𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬! One of our recipients just finished up cancer treatment and is a newly single mom to 2 kids, ages 4 and 7.

Our second recipient is a mom who lost her son, husband, and brother all in a 3 month period.

This year, we teamed up with Kihle Roofing , A Clean Slate, Olson LMT Heart to Hands Massage Therapy, Durango Fix and Finish LLC, Kelly Miranda Photography, and Films by Daniel to care for 2 very special moms in our community and document the project.

These deserving moms received the following services at no cost:

• Roof leak repair
• minor home repair
• window cleaning
• house cleaning
• w**d trimming
• car wash
• clean garden beds
• light fixture installation
• chair massage
• gift basket from TBK Bank
• materials costs, light fixtures and screen wire provided by the Bank of Colorado

We also made a video in honor of Linda Lopez (stay tuned), but really, it was about something bigger: inspiring our community to take care of each other.

Let’s come together as a community and make a real impact this Mother’s Day.
Because moms are who keep the world going round and round, taking on the mental labor, the physical labor, and caring for everyone around them 24/7. 💐

💐 Mother’s Day Project 2026 – Nominations Now Open 💐
On September 16, 2014, I lost my mom. That following Mother’s Day was the first one without her—and I didn’t want it to just be another hard day. I wanted it to mean something.
So we started something special.
With the help of amazing local businesses here in Durango, Squeegee Monkey Window Washing selected a few incredible mothers who could use a hand—and we showed up for them. We cleaned homes, washed windows, and did what we could to lighten their load and remind them they’re seen, valued, and appreciated.
We also made a video in honor of my mom… but really, it was about something bigger: inspiring our community to take care of each other.
💛 And now, in 2026—we’re bringing it back.
We’re looking for deserving mothers in the Durango area who could use a little extra support right now. Whether they’re going through a tough season, always putting others first, or just truly deserving of recognition—we want to hear their story.
