What does it mean to pray, evangelize, and live as people of hope in today’s world?

Archbishop Salvatore “Rino” Fisichella, pro-prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Evangelization, joins Cardinal Perspectives for a conversation on the Jubilee Year 2025, the role of Catholic universities, the value of silence, and the Church’s mission to share the joy of the Gospel.

As we remember our fallen heroes this Memorial Day, we honor the extraordinary legacy of Venerable Emil Kapaun, M.A. 1948, U.S. Army chaplain.

A proud alumnus of The Catholic University of America, Rev. Kapaun lived out the ultimate call to lay down his life for his friends. During the Korean War, he bravely ran into danger to minister to wounded soldiers. Even after being captured and sent to a brutal prisoner-of-war camp, his faith never wavered. Though he passed away in the camp in 1951, his "shepherd in combat boots" spirit lives on.

Today, we pray for all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, especially those from the Catholic University alumni community.
