The Versatile Artist

Did you ever notice that when you get a new car all you see is that make and model or color car everywhere you go? At every turn or stretch of road you see one and you never remember seeing that car before but now it’s everywhere you look?

This reminds me of when we experience the presence of God and know He’s real. You see Him everywhere you look in everything you do, the places you go or the people you meet. Past present or future you see His hand on your life.

Perspective is a strange thing though. Because in an instant, one hurt that you can’t get over, one wrong word of doubt or confusion about who God is or how God loves. One wrong move by a Christian you trusted and your perspective can change in a instant to not seeing God at all. Where did He go? Why is He gone? Is He even real? Yeah I didn’t think so. You can’t see Him anymore. It’s not like that car that’s there on every road anymore. He doesn’t seem present so He must not have been real in the first place right? Nope. wrong. You see God is as real as the time you knew Him, the time before you got hurt. He is still here. He still knows every hair in your head and still loves you dearly. He is the lover of your soul. In the way that this is true remember there is also an enemy of your soul and he is an illusionist with smoke and mirrors and the passion to make you doubt the very existence of God. Don’t be fooled by the illusion. The God of the universe the one and only creator is very real and very present all around us. Look up. Wake up!!
