Athena came to DRU at just 6 months old when changes in her family’s housing situation made it impossible for them to keep her. It was a heartbreaking decision, but they knew that bringing her to DRU would give her the best chance at the loving, stable forever home she deserved.

Now, at 1 year old, Athena has found exactly that. She has been adopted by a wonderful family who have welcomed many DRU dogs into their lives over the years. With their experience, dedication, and deep love for the breed, Athena couldn’t have found a more perfect match.

Thank you, Annie and Bob, for once again opening your hearts and home to a DRU dog.

Once again Carl has done an outstanding job preparing the DRU grounds for our upcoming Open House. Carl’s dedication shows in every detail — he’s truly a great friend to DRU and an incredible supporter of our mission. 💙🐾

All are invited for an afternoon celebrating the dogs at the heart of our mission. Come tour the shelter, enjoy a parade of our Dobermans, hear their stories, enjoy great food, enter raffles, and connect with fellow Doberman lovers and our amazing staff.
