I’m so sad to hear the news that Luca the golden retriever and regular salon visitor, crossed over the rainbow bridge. I'll always be grateful for the experience of working with him, as he helped me develop strategies to make grooming more comfortable for him and those strategies have helped me develop better skills in the salon. You will be so missed and my heart goes out to his family. I grieve so much when I hear of a clients pet passing. And I always appreciate them letting me know as sad as the news makes me🥺🤍🌈

Tulip Fest is coming up 🌷 and I know a lot of people like to bring their pups along, so I just wanted to throw out a little heads up!

Tulips are actually toxic to dogs. My best friend sent a post going around of a dog who did pass due to ingesting tulips and I want to make sure my furry friends are safe. Ingesting enough to cause things like vomiting, drooling, tummy upset, etc. The bulbs are the worst part, but honestly the whole plant isn’t something we want them messing with. And even though death is rare it can still happen 🥺 (also sending my condolences out to the girl who lost her fur baby to this)

And let’s be honest… a lot of dogs don’t just look at things 😅 they lick, nibble, sample… all of the above.

If your dog is the type to try and eat random stuff, or even just curious and mouthy, it might be one of those situations where it’s honestly safer (and less stressful) to leave them home.

If you do bring them, just keep a close eye and try to steer them away from the plants as much as possible!

I know we all want to include our dogs in everything, but sometimes the best thing for them is staying home where they can’t accidentally turn a flower into a bad decision
