🐾 Meet Johnny A-Aron! 🐾

Johnny is a 5-6 month old puppy with a heart much bigger than his paws.

While most puppies his age were busy learning about toys, couches, and how to charm their humans into giving extra treats, Johnny spent the last two months of his young life waiting in a rural shelter. But you would never know it from his attitude.

This sweet boy wakes up every day ready to love, play, and enjoy every little thing life has to offer. ❤️

Johnny is still discovering what it means to be a puppy. Every toy is exciting. Every adventure is new. Every belly rub is the best thing that’s ever happened to him.

One thing we’ve learned about Johnny is that he takes neighborhood wildlife very seriously. 🤣 He loves watching the critters outside, points at them like a little hunting dog, and would happily volunteer to chase every wild rabbit in Myakka if we let him. We have a feeling there might be a little hunting dog somewhere in his family tree! 🐇🐕

Johnny is also a certified Velcro dog. Wherever his people are, that’s exactly where he wants to be. Whether it’s riding in the car, hanging out on the couch, or following you from room to room, this boy loves being part of the action and close to the people he loves.

He’s learning fast, eager to please, and has that perfect mix of goofy puppy energy and sweet snuggly affection.

Now all Johnny needs is a family to show him that his shelter days are behind him forever.

💕 Meet Maddie! 💕

This girl is the sweeeeeeetest and is ready to find a family of her very own 💓

Maddie was found as a stray and ended up at the county shelter in horrible condition. Matted, ear infections, a ruptured ear drum, every bone showing and just 26lbs. A wonderful vet tech from the shelter fostered her and got her back to great health before sending her to us 💕 Despite a difficult start in life, she hasn’t let her past dim her spirit. She’s happy, loving and always ready for fun.

At just 3 years old, Maddie is house-trained, crate-trained and trustworthy when left loose in the home. That said, she’d much rather be curled up in bed with you if she’s given the chance 🥰 She’s incredibly smart, loves playing fetch and never turns down an opportunity to splash around in the water. She loves kiddie pools and would probably love a real pool or the beach too 🏝️

Our favorite thing 👉🏼 Maddie shows her excitement by spinning in circles when you come home or when she knows it’s mealtime 😂 (a very poodle thing to do!)

Maddie adores other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion. She and her foster brother spend their days playing together nonstop. She’s also great at doggy daycare.

Maddie is a Standard Poodle with a beautiful curly coat that will require regular grooming to keep her looking and feeling her best - especially if she swims! Today she’s up to about 35 pounds and still has some filling out to do - we’re hoping she reaches a healthy 45 pounds one day 🐩
