✨ yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Lake Guntersville! 👑
What inspired me most wasn’t just the crown – it was her story.
She shared that she entered the pageant simply because someone introduced her to the opportunity. She wasn’t chasing a career or expecting where it might lead. She simply said yes to try something new.
That reminded me why I created Connections by Dee.
Life has a way of placing unexpected opportunities, people, and experiences into our path. We don’t always know where they’ll lead, but each one becomes another piece of our story.

Today is a day that holds a special place in my heart.

It is Independence Day, and it also happens to be my birthday.
I wasn't born in America, but I chose to make this country my home. Over the years, America has become part of my story—a place where I've built friendships, grown through life's challenges, discovered my love for gardening, and found the courage to create Connections by Dee.
Today I'm wearing my patriotic puzzle-piece earrings because they symbolize something I deeply believe:

Every experience, every person we meet, every challenge we overcome becomes another piece of the puzzle that shapes who we are.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me, supported my small business, purchased my plants, worn my jewelry, or simply cheered me on. You are part of my story, too.

What is one piece of your life story that you're especially grateful for today?

❤️🤍💙 Today, I’m celebrating two birthdays in a way.
The birthday of the country I’d proudly call home… And my own birthday.
I wasn’t born in the United States, but America became part of my story. Through the years, this country has given me opportunities, friendships, challenges that helped me grow, in a place to build dreams that are close to my heart.
Today, I am wearing my own patriotic puzzle – peace earrings from connections by D because they remind me that life is made of many pieces. Some pieces are joyful, some are difficult, but together they create the story of who we become.
Every piece has a purpose.
Thank you to everyone who has supported my small business, encouraged my creativity, and been part of my journey. You are one of the beautiful pieces of my story.
