In 2023, we were honored to receive a proclamation from Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris, officially designating May 22nd to 28th as Period Poverty Awareness Week in Shelby County, TN. This acknowledgment is a testament to our collective dedication to ensuring that all menstruators have access to the necessary period products.

Period poverty remains a significant issue, affecting individuals' health, education, and overall well-being. Lack of funds and access to menstrual products can lead to missed school or work, compromised hygiene, and even serious health concerns.
