The Bantams competed against wofford college yesterday. Dawson Hyatt and Mekayla Baker both achieved brand new personal best in smallbore and are right on track for making this a phenomenal season. Mekaya, as always, takes air by storm.

After 2 days of competition Mekayla finished the Wofford College Open in 3rd place and a brand new personal best in smallbore.

Proud would be an understatement!!!!

Wow!!! What a season this has been!!! This was a season packed full of 1st. Rifles 1st full season, 1st year as part of a conference, 1st year shooting smallbore, 1st times at different ranges, 1st time flying for one, 1st time testing their skills against the best shooters umder 21 that this country has, and this list could go on.

Accomplishments include: 1st team all-conference air, 2nd team all conference air, 2nd team all-conference smallbore, 1st team all star air, 2nd team all star air, 3rd place air rifle podium finish at club nationals, and ending the season both getting new best air scores at jr Olympics.

I am sad to see this season end but there is no better way to end it and I am already excited to see what next season holds.

USCU came away with a couple more awards while we were in Ft. Wayne...

When the timer ran out and the dust settled Mekayla Baker had put herself and USC-Union on the podium for the best air rifle shooters in collegiate club. It was a close match with only 2 point separating 1st and 3rd. She is definitely a force to be reckoned with and is only getting better. Congratulations Mekayla I couldn't be more proud of you!!! Next up Junior Olympics.
